Super-Dry D2 150 CFM Desiccant Air Dryer

$1,490.62

The Super-Dry D2 150 CFM desiccant air dryer is a single-tower unit for point-of-use and intermittent compressed-air service. It combines moisture separation, coalescing filtration and a replaceable activated-alumina cartridge in a 1-1/2-inch NPT assembly rated to 150 PSI.

Description

150 CFM Point-of-Use Desiccant Air Drying

The Super-Dry D2 150 CFM desiccant air dryer is a single-tower, non-regenerative desiccant dryer for point-of-use and intermittent compressed-air applications. It combines bulk-moisture separation, coalescing filtration, activated-alumina desiccant and downstream dust filtration in one serviceable assembly.

The design is intended to improve air quality for blasting, painting and pneumatic equipment when it is installed within its rated pressure, temperature and airflow limits.

How the Super-Dry D2 Works

  • Inlet separation: Offset flow creates centrifugal action to remove larger water droplets.
  • Coalescing stage: Filtration captures additional liquid and solid contamination.
  • Desiccant cartridge: Activated alumina adsorbs water vapor from the air stream.
  • Outlet filtration: Helps prevent desiccant dust from traveling downstream.
  • Serviceable single tower: Uses a replaceable, pre-filled cartridge for intermittent point-of-use work.

Important Dew-Point Limitation

This is a single-tower non-regenerative dryer. It should not be marketed as maintaining a stable -40°F pressure dew point. Super-Dry states that applications requiring a sustained -40°F dew point need a twin-tower regenerative dryer. Actual outlet moisture depends on inlet temperature, humidity, flow, duty cycle and cartridge condition.

Installation and Maintenance

Remove bulk liquid upstream with a properly sized aftercooler and water separator. Keep inlet temperature within the rated range and drain collected water regularly. Replace the desiccant cartridge based on moisture indication, hours, duty cycle and air quality; the manufacturer commonly references one to two changes per year or around 2,000 hours for intermittent point-of-use service.

Professional compressed-air system review is recommended. Hot inlet air, an overloaded compressor, excessive liquid water or incorrect piping can overwhelm any point-of-use dryer.
