Compact 185 CFM Utility-Mount Compressor

The ELGi DS185T4F utility-mount compressor delivers 185 CFM at 100 PSI in a compact package designed for service trucks, public-works vehicles and contractor bodies. Its 33 × 68 inch footprint preserves deck space while providing the airflow of a standard 185 CFM portable compressor.

A Kohler KDI 1903 TCR Tier 4 Final diesel engine drives the rotary screw airend directly. Locking service doors and central drains on both sides support routine checks after the unit is installed on a vehicle or skid.

Air Treatment for Blasting

The compressor’s 185 CFM rating must be checked against the blaster’s airflow requirement at the chosen operating pressure. Some configurations may offer a dual-pressure option; confirm the current utility-mount specification and resulting airflow before including it in a package.

For dry ice blasting, plan adequate aftercooling, bulk-water separation, coalescing filtration and drying. Vehicle-mounted piping, reels and long hoses introduce additional pressure drop.

Vehicle Installation

The service body, deck, mounting structure and vehicle payload must be engineered for the compressor, fuel, air treatment, hoses and tools. Provide required ventilation, exhaust clearance, service access and secure mounting. This utility-mount unit does not use tow-behind axles.
