Compact 90 CFM Tow-Behind Air Power

The ELGi D90KA air compressor is a compact diesel-powered rotary screw unit delivering 90 CFM at 100 PSI. It combines tow-behind mobility, a durable metal enclosure, accessible service points and a standard toolbox for construction, maintenance, utility and compatible blasting applications.

A Kubota D1105 Tier 4 Final diesel engine powers the belt-driven airend. The D90KA was previously sold under the Rotair brand in North America, so it may also appear in searches and service records as the Rotair D90KA.

Air-sizing note: PSI measures pressure and CFM measures airflow. The D90KA reaches 100 PSI, but it provides 90 CFM and is not equivalent to a 185 CFM compressor when the connected equipment needs more airflow.

D90KA Compressor Sizing for Dry Ice Blasting

Confirm the blaster’s required CFM at the intended pressure, not just its maximum PSI. Nozzle selection, pellet feed, hose length, fittings and desired cleaning rate all affect the required compressor capacity.

Air-treatment components can reduce delivered airflow and pressure. Select water separators, filters and dryers that are appropriately sized for 90 CFM and the operating pressure.

Transport and Configuration

Tow-vehicle suitability depends on the actual finished weight, hitch, brakes, tire ratings, payload and state requirements. Do not rely on a general statement that the compressor can be towed by almost any vehicle. Confirm the exact serial-number build and towing requirements before collection or delivery.
