Description
Compact Dry Ice Cleaning for Detail Work
The Dry Ice Energy Champ Basic is a compact dry ice blasting machine for automotive detailing, delicate components and other lower-air-demand cleaning work. Its adjustable media feed lets operators tune the cleaning action while keeping the machine portable and straightforward to set up.
Dry ice pellets strike the surface and then sublimate into gas, so the process does not leave spent blasting media behind. Removed contamination still needs to be contained and collected, and every surface should be test-cleaned before production work begins.
Why Choose the Champ Basic Dry Ice Blaster?
- Low compressed-air demand: Manufacturer-rated air consumption starts at 250 L/min, approximately 8.8 CFM.
- Adjustable dry ice output: Match pellet feed to light detailing, sensitive surfaces and localized cleaning.
- Compact 33.1 lb design: Easier to transport between vehicles, work bays and mobile service jobs.
- 1.5 mm and 3 mm pellet support: Provides flexibility for fine-detail and general dry ice cleaning.
- No aftercooler required by the manufacturer: Simplifies smaller mobile setups, although clean, dry air remains important.
- Purpose-built entry model: A practical starting point for operators who do not need abrasive-media capability.
Recommended Applications
- Vehicle interiors, upholstery, plastics and vents
- Polish, wax and detailing residue on suitable exterior surfaces
- Wheelchairs, mobility equipment and rehabilitation frames
- Electrical cabinets and selected electronic components
- Light maintenance cleaning around tools, fixtures and equipment
Suitability depends on the contamination, substrate, nozzle, pressure and operator technique. Test a small, inconspicuous area before cleaning coated, aged, brittle or high-value surfaces.
Air Supply and Operating Requirements
The Champ Basic is rated for 250–900 L/min (approximately 8.8–31.8 CFM) at 7–8 bar (approximately 102–116 PSI). Select a compressor that can maintain the required airflow at pressure after allowing for hose length, fittings, moisture-control equipment and operating margin.
Review our dry ice blasting compressor and air supply guide before choosing a compressor. The machine uses 1.5 mm or 3 mm dry ice pellets and is not intended for abrasive blasting media.
